Course Description

A training course from the "CODESYS Academy" series | The original from the CODESYS manufacturer.

The training is held by an experienced trainer. To facilitate the transfer of knowledge, the theoretical part is followed by practical exercises. Use cases are used to demonstrate how the tool can be used. Knowledge of the following aspects of CODESYS V3 is imparted:

  • Elementary data types
  • Project management
  • Simple programming logic (FUP/KOP)
  • Custom data types (DUT)
  • Structured text (ST)
  • Hardware configuration
  • Program organization units (POU)
  • Diagnostics (breakpoints, flow control, watch, trace)
  • Signal flow chart (CFC)
  • Sequential Function Chart (SFC)
  • Simple visualization
  • Visualization with interface
  • Backup and restore

A virtual desktop is available to all participants for exercises during online training. This desktop is accessed via a browser. This allows the trainer to look over the participants' shoulders virtually and provide individual support.

Ralph Holz

Trainer, CODESYS Group

Thanks to his many years of professional experience in well-known industrial companies, Ralph Holz has gained in-depth technical expertise and has also been able to expand his wealth of experience with practical project examples. In previous positions, he has successfully implemented very extensive automation projects, on the one hand with application robotics and on the other hand specifically with IEC 61131-3 tools. On this basis, he has been responsible for training on the IEC 61131-3 programming system at the CODESYS Group since 2006.
