With CODESYS, you can freely select the optimum hardware for your automation application. Many classic automation providers have already implemented CODESYS. Or you can use standard device platforms on which you simply install or deploy the appropriate control software. With virtual controllers, you can even use powerful IT hardware for control and thus reduce hardware costs.
CODESYS Virtual Safe Control SL
Now certified and released!
The virtual safety controller CODESYS Virtual Safe Control SL has now been certified by TÜV Süd. The product is now available in the CODESYS Store.
CODESYS Virtual Safe Control SL provides a SIL3 safety controller that can run on standard hardware. Specialized dual-channel hardware is no longer required.
Users benefit in multiple ways. First, hardware and wiring costs are significantly reduced. At the same time, flexibility increases since virtualized systems can handle applications of any size. And security is already a built-in part of the concept, because each application runs in a separate container.
